MEET ALICIA 

Alicia was born and raised in West Virginia. Her father is an Air Force Veteran, and her mother is a Korean immigrant.

Alicia and her husband Neal are celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary this year.

Alicia and Neal have one son who attends public school right here in Hillsborough County.

As a former softball player, Alicia loved the time she spent with her son on his t-ball teams keeping score, assisting on the field and in practice, as well as running the dugout.

Alicia is an animal lover.

Alicia has raised numerous pets over the years including one beagle, two cats, and numerous fish. Alicia’s four-legged family currently includes a calico cat named Minnie and a yellow Labrador Retriever named Sandy.

Alicia attends St. Stephen Catholic Church in Riverview with her family, and volunteered at St. Stephen’s Catholic School for several years.

Alicia is a member of the Riverview Chamber of Commerce, Brandon Chamber of Commerce, Ybor City Chamber of Commerce, and the Tiger Bay Club.

One of Alicia’s favorite events to participate in is Teaching to Excellence with the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce because it allows her to give back directly to teachers and the local schools.

Alicia has always aspired to have a career where she could make a positive impact on the world around her. Throughout her adult life, Alicia has demonstrated a passion for community involvement and mentoring.

Alicia volunteered her time at battered women’s shelter assisting women and children rebuild their lives;

Alicia interned with the Victim Witness Advocate Unit (Prosecutor’s Office) supporting victims and witnesses as crimes (including children); and

Alicia also raised money for organizations providing legal services to underserved communities and financially distressed individuals.

Alicia also donates her time to local organizations like Feeding Tampa Bay, Metropolitan Ministries, and Bay Area Legal Services.

Alicia can be found packing food, working at the thrift store, or participating in the in-take clinic for those needing legal representation.

Alicia earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Ohio. She graduated in the top 10% of her class with honors, Magna Cum Laude. Alicia served as an Associate Editor, as well as Managing Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review.  Alicia also received numerous awards, including Managing Editor of the Year Award for her contributions.

Alicia attended Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. Alicia earned her bachelor’s degree in Politics.

But, even more amazing is the fact that Alicia worked full-time during her tenure at Oberlin College, which was and still is rare.
